We're blending up something delicious this Saturday at our Fresh Food Experience... Blackberry smoothies!

The bushes are full of beautiful, sweet berries, ready for picking and ready for sipping ☺️

Visit the farm and enjoy this experience among many others, meet the friendly animals, take a hayride, eat some strawberries, peek at the fairies in the fairy tree, run through the apple maze and lots more!

We've got something special planned for this Saturday! If you like cold drinks that taste like August in a glass then this is the activity for you... Let's make blackberry smoothies together!

☀️ Pick a small basket of blackberries on the farm!
☀️ Bring them to the special activity gazebo!
☀️ Choose your sweetness! Choose lemon or vanilla!
☀️ Add your herbs of choice (Mint? Lavender?)!

🚨Well folks, this Saturday is going to be this summer's LAST FRENCH FRY experience day! If you haven't made it out to Woodside to try this it's worth taking the time this weekend to visit the farm and make and eat some of the freshest French fries you'll ever taste!

(Bonus points if you can say freshest french fries 3 times fast 😉)

Dig your own potatoes!
Wash and press them!
Watch them sizzle in the fryer!
Add salt and seasonings!
Devour them!

Every morning during summer camp our Little Farmers race to the chicken coop to do the daily egg collection. They take turns carrying the baskets and are very thorough at finding all the eggs 😊 Then they take them to the barn where they wash them and put them into cartons for the farm stand.

It's so interesting to watch them analyze each egg and compare the size, shape and colours, these are definitely not grocery store eggs that all look the same!

Our 🐔chickens are free range and lay when and where they like so we never know how many eggs we will have to sell each day. Though it can be less consistent, we feel that it's important for our chickens to have happy, chicken-led lives so we let them have as much independence as we can. And once they're through with laying they live out their lives with the flock 😊

It fills our cups and warms our hearts when we hear our visitors have enjoyed their experience here at the farm.

We put a lot of time, love and enthusiasm into what we do and we're proud of what we can offer to our wonderful community here in Sooke. Their engagement with the farm is what makes it live and breathe, it keeps us energized and it keeps us trying new things.
