🌿 We’re Hiring a Part-Time Farm Hand
Enjoy working outdoors, caring for animals, and operating equipment? Spring Meadow Farm is looking for a dependable person to help with the day-to-day care and upkeep of our farm.
📍 Located directly on the Trans-Canada Highway, just east of Springdale Branch.
🕒 Part-time hours that vary with farm needs, weather, and seasonal demands.
What you’ll do
• Operate a skid steer and other snow clearing equipment to keep farm access routes and work areas clear during winter.
• Feed and water the animals, monitor their well-being, and report any concerns.
• Clean pens, shelters, and other animal living areas.
• Keep an eye on daily farm operations and flag anything needing attention.
• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, and property upkeep as required.
What we’re looking for
• Experience safely operating a skid steer and other snow clearing equipment is required.
• A reliable person who can work independently and treat animals with care.
• Comfort with physical outdoor work in changing weather conditions.
• Practical maintenance skills. Previous farm or animal care experience would be an asset.
• Availability to respond to varying farm and snow clearing needs.
This could be a good fit for someone who is semi-retired or retired and would enjoy staying active and putting their equipment experience to work at the farm. All qualified applicants are welcome.
