Our Story:
Grandpa Rudy & Grandma Elizabeth started the farm back in the mid 1920's with their 7 children. As the years went by, their son Gerald and his wife Selma took over the farm. When tragedy struck and destroyed their dairy farm, to make ends meet, the old garage was used to make Bratwurst. Over the years, the old garage was converted into an inspection facility and this is when the SandyVi
ew Farms meat processing was born... ..
Before the family business was moved into town, Grandpa Rudy and Gerald butchered animals on the farm to put food on the table for friends and family. Over the years, making bratwursts for friends and family became a yearly event that brought our friends and family together. Back then our bratwurst was made by a hand crank sausage press, in a small wood building to smoke the sausage. Today we are proud to say the traditional family recipe, that was used for our annual family gatherings, is still being used...
In 1992, Gerald moved the family business into Spruce Grove. Today, Gerald and Selma's son Brent, and daughter Cindy, look after the operations of the SVF Butcher-shop, full-service Deli, 80-seat Restaurant, and Catering Service. Today we are celebrating 35+ years of business and couldn’t be more proud to serve the Spruce Grove and Parkland community with locally and ethically sourced products that you can trust.
