Years in 4-H: 12 years, including the cleaver program
About my Projects: This year my projects have been cut in half (but not my write up) as I said goodbye to my sheep last year. This year I am looking forward to bringing a full breeders herd to Achievement Day. My heifer Sandi is out of my 4-H cow Winnie. She graduated from the 4-H program last year. My 2 year old cow Maggie had a bull calf named Pilsner. Nova, my 3 year old cow, had twins, Poppy and Pablo. Gizmo is my market steer. He has a love hate relationship with getting his halter on, but once it’s on he sure enjoys getting the spa treatment. Gizmo loves his feed and is gaining very well. Gizmo will be sure to fill your freezer full of delicious beef!
I would like to thank last year’s buyers of my market steer 76 Land & Cattle Inc. and Davis GMC Claresholm for purchasing my market lamb. Your continued support of myself and 4-H is truly appreciated.
This is my final year in 4-H, and I’ve been blessed to have so many incredible supporters. One of them was my mom’s cousin Gerald. Gerald enjoyed great beef, a good auction and supporting youth. He purchased many 4-H animals including mine, over the years from the Willow Creek District and other 4-H Districts, helping fill the freezers of family and friends. Gerald passed away from a heart attack on November 29, 2025, leaving behind his wife Amanda and their three children, Trevor, Nick and Katie. In his honor, all of the proceeds from my market steer Gizmo this year will be donated to Amanda and their children, as well as the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation's Bringing Hearts Home Cardiac Campaign.
