Meet our Ayam Cemanis—100% ink-black, deeply dramatic, and designed by what we assume is a gothic fashion house. Catch them in the sun and that emerald-purple iridescence is pure magic... right up until they flop in the dirt to sunbathe like a broken umbrella.
10/10 for the goth aesthetic. 2/10 for the attitude. (Just kidding, these birds are incredibly friendly )

We’ve officially hit the high-stakes finale of slow cooking eggs to make chicken, and now we just wait to see if these Ayam Cemanis actually hatch or if they’ve decided to stay in their shells until the government finally explains where all our tax money is actually going.

Zombie chicks ready for their new homes 🙂

If you’re looking for sunshine and yellow fluff, you’re in the wrong neighborhood. We’re watching an Ayam Cemani chick claw its way into existence—a bird so dark it absorbs the light and your attention.
This isn't just a hatch; it’s an evolution. Most chicks enter the world looking like a tennis ball; this one enters looking like it just headlined a sold-out show at a gothic cathedral.

The incubator is starting to look like a scene from a tiny, feathered horror movie! We’ve got external pips, little beaks breaking through, and that "undead" energy is officially in the air.
There is nothing quite like the "zombie" phase of a hatch—when they’re half-in, half-out, and looking a little rough around the edges before they fluff up into the adorable monsters we know and love.

Stay tuned for the official "arrival of the living fluff-balls." It’s about to get real loud and real cute in here very soon!
