Originally known and ran as Savoury Meats and Sausage Ltd., Savoury Meats was recently passed on from one local Sundre couple to another to continue on the same friendly meat cutting service that has been delivered for 17 years. From domestic meats to wild meats, Savoury Meats will continue to provide the Sundre and surrounding area mobile slaughtering and local butcher shop services.

Call Savoury Meats to book in your beef, bison, pigs and lambs for custom processing - cut up your way to fill your freezer with all your favourite cuts to feed yourself, family and friends! We’ll come right to your farm for mobile, on-farm slaughter or if you’d like to do the dirty work yourself, book in a drop off date and we’ll hang it in our aging cooler. Out of sight and out of mind until it’s all boxed up and ready for your freezer!

We’re getting our delivery of fresh, whole chickens tomorrow morning! About 5-6lbs each, they are priced at $4.15/lb. We get a lot of compliments on them and we can attest to it ourselves - they make a wicked beer can chicken!! Stop by tomorrow (Saturday) and pick one or two up for dinner this weekend!

May Long Weekend is almost here!! We will be closed for the long weekend, here are our hours:

Friday (May 15th): Open - 8AM to 5PM
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday: CLOSED
Monday (May 18th, Victoria Day): CLOSED
Tuesday: Open - 8AM to 5PM

We like to test all the rubs and spices that we carry (anyone else’s spice cupboard jammed packed as well??) and these Motley Que spices and their BBQ sauces have been amazing!

This All Purpose spice, for example, made these chicken thighs taste amazing and we’re not worried about using too much because these spice blends are not heavy with salt.

Come by the shop and try the Motley Que spices and sauces, Smokes Seasoning rubs and Mickey-Jay’s seasonings! Fun fact: all these brands call Alberta home!

It has been brought to our attention that searches for our shop through Microsoft Bing brings up our hours this weekend being closed… NOT TRUE. We are open our regular days and hours: Monday - Friday (8AM - 5PM) & Saturdays (9AM - 3PM)!

I guess when they say not everything is true on the internet, they’re not wrong… because this is definitely wrong. 😂 (currently working on correcting this issue!)

If you’re looking to get beef processed, whether you raised it yourself or we can source local, inspected beef for you, we have openings to get that in and custom processed to your liking! We’ll get you your favourite cuts that you and your family will enjoy!
We also have space for pigs, lambs, bison, you name it! (We do not process birds, though, sorry!)

Let us know if you’re interested, we have our mobile butcher that can come to you so you don’t even have to leave your farm except when it’s all done and ready to go from our freezer to yours!

Today is the last chance at our sale on Ribeye’s and boneless Prime Rib Roasts! Originally $25.99/lb, now at only $19.99/lb! Ribeyes are cut at our traditional 1 1/4” thick and roasts are cut to order fresh.

We’re open 8AM to 5PM today, so stop by the shop to get the last chance at our sale price before the Easter Long Weekend! Savoury Meats will be closed Good Friday all the way through to Easter Monday and open again on Tuesday.

We’re proud to say that we no longer just offer smokies… HOTDOGS have made it to our retail list!! 🌭 🌭 🌭

The classic hotdog made with clean ingredients and cooked in our big smokehouse, you can now buy it at Savoury Meats for your camping trips or for an easy meal at home.
