✨ Day 1 at Expo ANTAD — and the momentum is already building! ✨

An exciting first day on the show floor featuring our signature cinnamon buns, Danish, and strudel — sharing the flavors that make Del's Pastry Limited so special.

We’re especially excited to be set up right next to Olivia's Cake Pops — another amazing Canadian business 🇨🇦💫 It’s been such a pleasure being booth neighbours and sharing this experience together! 🍭👏

We wrapped up the day with a wonderful dinner, surrounded by great company. It was so nice to spend the evening once again with Fabiola Sicard, Paige Napier, M.Eng, and a few other incredible people who made the night even more special 🌙🍽️

✨ Del’s Pastry is heading to Expo ANTAD 2026—for the first time!

We’re excited to share that Del’s Pastry will be attending Expo ANTAD for the first time, from May 19–21, 2026, in Guadalajara, Mexico, proudly exhibiting in the Canada Pavilion at Booth 1145 EP.

Our product offering is built on three core pillars—Sweet Dough, Puff Pastry, and Danish Dough—from which we create a full range of cinnamon buns, Danishes, and strudels. All products are available in ready made frozen formats for both foodservice and CPG retail ready packaged solutions.

Honoring the Memory of Benno Franz Mattes and Dieter Claassen 🤍
Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives of Benno Franz Mattes, founder and visionary leader of Del’s Pastry, and Dieter Claassen, a dedicated and respected member of our Del’s Pastry family.

Benno Franz Mattes built the foundation of Del’s Pastry with determination, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to quality. After immigrating to Canada in 1961, Benno transformed a small, struggling bakery into the company we know today through hard work, discipline, and strong values. Alongside his wife Edith and later his children, Benno created more than a business—he created a family legacy grounded in craftsmanship, integrity, and care for people. His leadership and vision continue to guide Del’s Pastry every day.

Dieter Claassen was a valued employee who dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Del’s Pastry. Known for his professionalism, kindness, and deep knowledge of the baking industry, Dieter was admired by colleagues and peers alike. From his early days in Germany to his impactful career in Canada, Dieter built lasting relationships and made meaningful contributions both within Del’s Pastry and throughout the baking community. His passion for the industry and respect for others left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.

At Del’s Pastry, we are more than a workplace—we are a family. The legacies of Benno and Dieter live on through the company they helped build, the values they embodied, and the people they inspired.

Our thoughts are with their families, loved ones, and all those who had the privilege of knowing them. They will always be an important part of the Del’s Pastry story.
