Almost everyone has been asking me the same question…
“Why are you changing from Nosh Balls to TREYN Brands?”
For the first time, I want to share the real story.
Almost five years ago, during COVID, I started making energy balls in my home kitchen. I thought I’d sell a few to friends and family. I never imagined we’d grow into a national brand.
One retailer became another. Then another. Before I knew it, we were building our own manufacturing facility and getting our products onto store shelves across Canada.
But none of it came easy.
There were days I’d sit in my car outside our kitchen, completely exhausted, trying to find the strength to walk through the door. I was building a business from nothing while still trying to be the best mom I could be. I questioned myself more times than I can count.
Then came a challenge I never expected.
A much larger company challenged our trademark.
After spending years building Nosh Balls, I had a choice.
Fight for years over a name…
Or spend that same time, energy, and money building something even bigger.
I chose to build.
That’s how TREYN Brands was born.
TREYN stands for The Real Energy You Need, but to me it represents something even bigger. It’s a brand with no ceiling. We’re no longer building one product… we’re building a company that can create multiple better-for-you brands for years to come.
So, to the company that challenged our trademark…
Thank you.
You can have the name.
But you can’t have what we’ve built, and you can’t have what we’re going to continue building.
You can’t have our customers.
You can’t have our community.
You can’t have our resilience.
You can’t have our vision.
Those things can’t be trademarked.
Our recipes haven’t changed.
Our ingredients haven’t changed.
Our mission hasn’t changed.
The only thing that’s changed… is how big we’re dreaming.
To everyone who’s supported us from my home kitchen to seeing us on store shelves—thank you. Your belief in us is the reason we kept going.
