Thank you to everyone who joined us for Brewer's Breakfast yesterday. It was a fantastic morning hanging out with our Head Brewer Mike Lackey, gobbling up delicious breakfast sandwiches by Smoking Section BBQ, and enjoying a few glasses of (some right from the tank!)

Look! This is a peek at some of the things we will be eating at Brewer's Breakfast this Saturday.

Join GLB Head of Brewing Operations Mike Lackey for a morning (not too early) of b**rs, Smoking Section BBQ breakfast, and brewery talk!

Tickets are $25 plus tax and include your choice of breakfast sandwich, two 16oz b**rs, and a brewhouse talk with Mike Lackey.

Breakfast Sandwich Options:

BBQ BREAKFAST SANDWICH
Smoked brisket, smoked cheddar scrambled eggs, house slaw and pickled jalapeño on a toasted brioche bun. Served with smoked tallow-toasted hash browns.

VEGETARIAN — SMOKED CHEDDAR SCRAMBLE SANDWICH
Smoked cheddar scrambled eggs, roasted red pepper, house slaw and M sauce on a toasted brioche bun. Served with hash browns.

VEGAN — SMOKED SAUSAGE SANDWICH
Plant-based smoked sausage, pickled jalapeño, roasted red peppers and hot sauce on a toasted bun. Served with hash browns.

All sandwiches come with house BBQ sauce, Dijonaise, hot sauce, maple syrup, pickles and condiments on the side.

🐷 Pig Wants to Fight (GLB x Bellwoods)
🐷 IPA
🐷 6.5% abv

What happens when when Octo crosses a Pig?
Pig Wants to Fight is charged with a heavyweight blend of classic IPA hops that are unleashed into an absolute supernova of passionfruit, bright citrus, and ripe mango aromatics with some theorization. It builds to a firm, pine-dank crescendo before snapping shut with a classic, resinous dry finish. Watch out. This one is punchy.

🍺 Ordinary Bitter
🍺 3.5% abv

A quintessential English Ordinary Bitter: malt-forward yet balanced, modest in alcohol yet rich in character. Caramel and toffee notes from Maris Otter malt intertwine with the floral, earthy qualities of East Kent Goldings, creating a remarkably flavourful b**r that's built for long conversations and another round.

A perennial favourite around the brewery, this our version of a German Altbier, the signature b**r of Düsseldorf. Our goal is to achieve a noticeable depth of malt flavour and aroma with the dry, refreshing qualities of a session b**r and a hop-forward bitterness to balance the malt.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 30th! 🐷🐙

A couple of weeks ago, Great Lakes Brewery and Bellwoods Brewery got together at GLB Etobicoke to brew something special.

You see, Bellwoods has a IPA called Pig. Pig was cute, cuddly, and generally pretty chill until meeting our pet Octo. Suddenly, Pig developed a serious attitude and now ALSO wants to fight. Naturally, we made a b**r about it. Pig Wants To Fight IPA is the result.

Wanna try it with us? On Wednesday, September 30th, we’re taking the b**r out for it’s first night on the town at Thirsty & Miserable, where GLB and Bellwoods brewers and crew will be hanging out, drinking b**rs and generally avoiding anything that could be described as a formal presentation.

Pig Wants To Fight will be pouring alongside a selection of other b**rs from both breweries (b**rs that the brewers want to drink), so come and meet the people behind the b**r to celebrate a collaboration that somehow made it from the brewhouse to the bar without incident.

We brewed this sweet angel with golden naked oats and a special yeast strain and Motueka, Citra LUPOMAX & Talus so you know it packs those big punchy hop flavours we all love so much. Tropical fruit! Citrus! Dankness! They're all here!

🍺 5.0% abv

DRINK COLD. YELL “PROST!”. REPEAT. This crisp, golden l***r carries a solid malt character with a smooth finish. Festbier pairs well with lederhosen, steins, pretzels, wild accordion solos, and every Oktoberfest stereotype we could cram into a mash tun.

Join us at The Loose Moose on Friday, October 2nd from 6pm for a KARMA CITRA PARTY! There will be b**r samples, GLB staff to have a b**r with, and The Sunshine Psychic reading your fortune, your Karma level, and, perhaps even your next b**r order.

Speaking of karma, you can earn Good Karma Points throughout the night for doing good things, drinking good b**r, and generally being a decent human. Rack up enough points and you can cash them in for GLB treasures.
