This wedding really did feel like a little bit of serendipity. 🤍

It rained right up until ceremony time, and then—almost on cue—the skies opened, the sun came through, and Melanie & Tommy were able to have their beautiful vineyard ceremony. We’ll take that sunshine as a sign of prosperity and good things ahead for these two. ☀️🍇

This was also our largest wedding of the 2026 season, with 140 guests, and what an incredible celebration it was. The energy was lively, joyful and infectious—the kind of party where you could feel how happy everyone was to be together.

Melanie may also officially hold the title of most organized bride of our season. 😄 She put so much thought into every detail and handled a very large wedding beautifully. Together with Candace from Kootenay Wedding Company, she pulled it all together like a charm.

And we have to mention the families—such genuinely wonderful people to work with from beginning to end. Weddings like this remind us how fortunate we are to have a front-row seat to some pretty special days.

Congratulations, Melanie & Tommy. 🥂 Here’s to sunshine after the rain, a marriage filled with the same incredible energy as your wedding day, and many happy years ahead. 🤍

A little wedding magic is happening at Mountain Soul this weekend. 💍🍷

Our W**e Deck will be closed Saturday, September 26 while we host a private wedding celebration.

We’ll be open again Sunday, September 27 from 12–5 pm and would love to welcome you for w**e, charcuterie, and those mountain views.

An unexpected journey… to forever. 💍🌿⚔️

We’ve hosted a lot of weddings at Mountain Soul, but Rowan & James gave us something completely different.

Without question, this was one of the most original and theatrical weddings we’ve ever had here.

Their Lord of the Rings-inspired celebration wasn’t simply a theme added to the décor — it carried through the entire day.

From the colours, florals and ceremony styling to an officiant who arrived in character, the vineyard took on its own little Middle-earth feeling.

And then things got even better.

After the ceremony, a tattoo artist finished their Lord of the Rings tattoo right here at the w**ery.

Then family and friends gathered below the W**e Deck for an incredible one-man Lord of the Rings performance, performed by the bride’s uncle, to a very enthusiastic crowd.

Their Hobbit-inspired cake from was even cut with a sword. ⚔️🎂

Dinner was an event in itself. George Nutter of was here before sunrise — around 5:30 in the morning — preparing an incredible feast, including a whole roasted pig and a very appropriately named Thor’s Hammer. Nobody left this wedding hungry.

The florals by The Beez Kneez fit the palette beautifully and felt completely at home among the vineyard, wood, greenery and Middle-earth-inspired details.

And of course, even Rowan & James’ first dance stayed true to the atmosphere they had created.

It was theatrical.
It was personal.
It was a little unexpected.
And it was completely them.

That is exactly what we love about weddings at Mountain Soul. ❤️

Kyle & Japesh 🤍🌿

What a wedding.

From the moment everyone arrived, this day had such a distinct personality — elegant, colourful, multicultural and ridiculously fun.

Kyle looked absolutely stunning. Her beaded gown and dramatic cape were one of those bridal looks you just don’t forget, and the soft sage, olive and warm green tones throughout the wedding looked incredible against the vineyard and mountains.

But what really made this celebration special was the energy.

Two families, different cultures and traditions, incredible food, hilarious speeches, wedding games, a packed dance floor and a group of people who clearly came ready to celebrate. From the ceremony overlooking the valley to dinner inside the w**ery and dancing late into the night, the entire day felt completely their own.

And the food! The Dumpling Spot brought together an amazing mix of flavours, followed by beautiful Indian sweets from MISHT by Shweta — such a great reflection of the families and cultures coming together.

Kyle & Japesh, thank you for choosing Mountain Soul for such a memorable celebration. We loved having you here. 🤍

Wow… What can I say about this picture! Stunning capture of our wedding couple on the Mountain Vista Bench here at Mountain Soul! Great picture Allyshia!

I had the absolute pleasure of being the photographer for two of the most amazing people I have ever met. I am so lucky to call them my friends and watch their love story flourish. September 12, 2026 ✨ Brylee & Brendon

This wedding had such a fun, family-filled energy from start to finish.

One of my favourite things was seeing the vineyard full of RVs, with Brylee and Brendon’s family staying right here on the property — close enough to keep an eye on the kids… or at least close enough to say they were while everyone danced the night away. 😂

There were kids everywhere, lots of laughter, lots of movement, and such a strong sense of family. You could feel how close everyone was, especially during the speeches — heartfelt, funny, emotional, and full of love.

Brylee & Brendon chose our Classic Wedding Package, with their ceremony at our upper Mountain Vista site overlooking the mountain views and river below. As the sun went down, the vineyard settled into one of those beautiful starlit Kootenay evenings that makes you want to stay outside just a little longer — or, in their case, keep dancing well into the night.

A full vineyard. A lively reception. A beautiful ceremony site. And a family that clearly knows how to celebrate together.
