It looks sunny this morning and we are going to say picking today between 1-5. If there is any change, like rain, I will post by noon. Otherwise, we are going to go for it. There are good berries out there and it would be great to get them!

We will pick today between 1-5 pm. It was 0 or -1C last night here! It’s 1C right now as I post this at 8 am. The photo shows the bare minimum you should bring for picking…containers and a stool. And cash if you want to buy your berries.
We will not be at the market today…hopefully next week.

This lady takes her haskap picking seriously…she wears haskap earrings to come picking! She bought them at the Fireweed Market (Thursdays at Shipyards park from 3-7 pm) at a booth called Marijke she told me.
Anyway, today we are picking from 12-5 pm.
Tomorrow is our LAST day until next Tuesday the 18th. We are taking a break over the weekend.

We will go from NOON 12-5 pm today and give the bushes a chance to dry off. I just want to point out that as in the photo below, you have to pick up the branches of the haskap bushes and look underneath to see all the berries hiding below. Yesterday many people left berries behind because they didn’t do that, which is a shame. You have to really look and make sure you have picked everything before moving on.

Looks like it is clearing up. We will start at 1 pm to give the bushes a chance to thoroughly dry, and go until 5 pm. Make sure you bring a stool to sit on! Besides all the regular things like buckets, hats, etc.
