There’s something I really love about planting species that naturally belong to the place we live in. 🌿
Native plants bring so much more than beauty to a garden. They provide food and habitat for local birds, insects and other wildlife, support biodiversity, and because they’ve evolved with our local conditions, they’re often naturally well adapted to the climate and environment around them.
For me, a garden feels much more alive when it becomes part of the surrounding ecosystem rather than something separate from it.
This native garden was planted for Kristina in Kureelpa, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It’s still very young, but over the next few months these plants will start filling the space, flowering and bringing more and more life into the garden.
Can’t wait to see how this one grows. 🌱
