Moments captured from our small ruminant workshop with the Tavua farmers — learning, sharing, and preparing together for the dry season ahead. Grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate simple but important practices like silage making and mineral block preparation to help strengthen livestock farming in our communities. A heartfelt thank you to the AH&P officers in Tavua for organizing and facilitating this small ruminant workshop for our farmers.
Grateful and blessed to host these workshop for Tavua farmers here at the Farm.
A meaningful time of sharing simple but important practical knowledge — making mineral blocks and preparing silage for the dry season ahead. While the grass is still plenty, we prepare and stock up on feed, because good stewardship starts before the season changes.
Little things done faithfully can sustain a farm through hard seasons. Thankful for every farmer willing to learn, share, and grow together.

At Horeb Farm Fiji, herd care is at the heart of everything we do.

Today, we’re proud to see our dad passing down hands-on knowledge to the next generation—teaching the farm boys essential skills like dehorning young cattle, castrating young bulls, and properly tagging calves. These are not just tasks, but vital practices that ensure the safety, health, and long-term productivity of our herd.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of the AH&P officers, whose efforts in arranging Artificial Insemination (AI) for some of our cows are helping us improve our genetics and strengthen the future of our farm.

Building knowledge, improving quality, and growing together—this is the Horeb way. 🌱🐄

Rain or shine, there’s joy on the farm!
Bella the cow has welcomed a beautiful bull calf, Rael Boy, to the Horeb herd.

Bella was artificially inseminated by MOA vets using another Senepol line, which is a big win for our herd’s genetic improvement.

Mother and calf are both doing great despite the rainy days.
