Widowed in 1805 at the age of 27, Madame V***e Clicquot (born Ponsardin) defied every convention of the day to take the helm of her late husband's small Champagne House. She personally supervised cellar activities and introduced innovative production techniques still used today. Champagne V***e Clicquot is known internationally for its classically styled and full-bodied Champagne.
