It was such a pleasure to meet everyone at the Farmers Market yesterday, I must admit to feeling a little weary after the 5.30 alarm call, but it was worth it. Thank you so much to everyone who came and had a chat, bought the blooms and bought offerings of baked goods to keep me fuelled. I'm typically more than happy wandering around the plot on my own in my own little world, but it's always a pleasure to chat away and share the joys of the beautiful seasonal blooms. Next week it's British Flowers Week, I'll no doubt be oversharing. Have a great day everyone, Sam x

The nigella keeps on keeping on, the white is glorious, the blue is now beginning to show itself. Just love it 🥰 if you’re lucky enough you just may find some in a bunch at Lingwood Farmer’s Market on Saturday. If you’re local, do came along and say hello.

These are just beautiful, perhaps a bit much for a bouquet…. But for a wedding / event or some such will make quite the statement.

Two plants for the price of one (actually the price of three because the earlier sowings got cooked in the polytunnel - twice, this batch were obsessively nurtured at home)

These zinnia should have been planted out a while ago however I’ve not quite managed to get around to it, probably been too busy watering and swanning around at that Chelsea.

Anyway, ever the one to look for an opportunity, these needed pinching out so am taking a punt on rooting the cut tips . Any new plant is a bonus. Wish me luck.

Well, the longer stems have finished (to be honest I’m amazed they’re alive at all in the polytunnel…) but the shorter stems just keep on keeping on. Just perfect for bud vases.
