Hi all, we want to share insight into this - posted this morning by a lady anonymously….
Firstly, we are not here to cause issues to anybody. This business that we have built has been a much needed addition to our community according to many customers that frequent the pub. So for us to be told that there is a resident petition to threaten the licence is a surprise, and quite sad.
Unfortunately, the lady has given no name or contact details and went as far as trying to hide from our cameras, but the pub does have 360 camera cover that have a clear view of the individual. She claims to be a local solicitor who is acting on behalf of the residents in the area of the pub. If this was a solicitor (or local MP, that the individual has claimed before when leaving anonymous phone calls), then they would know that our license permits the use of live music in our beer garden.
The pub has had a massive response from the local people enjoying what we have put so much effort and money towards achieving. Our beer garden parties have been fantastic days out for the local community to come and enjoy for free, including families and people both young and old.
So again we are not here to annoy or cause nuisance to anyone, hence why we don’t have music outside past 6pm, even though our licence permits it. We are growing into a central part of our local community and that’s what we want.
We do have the approval and backing of the Wirral Licensing board, the local council, the local police and we believe all of the locals who have now become regulars and friends to our pub.
If you wish to speak to the owner of the pub, his name is Darren, a local resident of 32years and he’s more than happy to discuss anything regarding the pub, without the need for pretend titles.
Like your letter says, we can sort this out as a community. Our only aim is to host great days out for our community during the summer holidays, with live music for everyone to come together and enjoy☀️🎶
