Hi Picklers, Sam here...

I wanted to pop on and say a quick hello, as you may have noticed I’ve been out of action for the last month or so.

You know it would take a lot for me to be away from pickles, and actually I’ve been in ICU with sepsis, where the amazing NHS staff saved my life & got me literally back on my feet. I’m at home recovering slowly, so I won’t be around for a while yet, but I hope to see you lovely lot again soon!

In the meantime, a massive, ginormous thank you to the rest of the team for holding the fort. They are doing an absolutely amazing job keeping everything running beautifully, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them.

English Wine Week 🍇 is nearly here, and we’re marking it the best way we know how: with a glass in hand 🍷

If you’ve never been to a walkround before, the idea is lovely and simple. No fixed seats, no set order, just you, a glass, and the freedom to move between our tasting stations at your own pace. Three brilliant hosts will be pouring English wines from Sussex, Hampshire, London and our very own Cheshire, with the people who know them best on hand to pour, chat and share a few stories.

🎟️ Wednesday 24 June, 7pm. £30 per person. Mainly a standing event, with a few seats available.
