In the window for this weekend!
Fresh, pasture fed organic mutton. This really is as good as it gets!
Absolutely packed with flavour from a long life grazing open fields no less than 4 miles from the doors of our shop!
For those that are unsure on the difference, mutton is older than lamb. Atleast 2 years old. This girl in particular was 4, meaning that it has had plenty of time to develop that rich flavour that comes with mutton!

Mutton is often kept by the farmers so it doesn't often make its way into sale! If you're a fan of mutton then be sure to stock up the freezer because we're not sure when/if we'll be able to get some more!

We have the possibility to get our hands on some fully organic, pasture fed mutton!

While usually everyone opts for lamb around Easter, mutton is kept under the radar. Being a more mature animal it's had all its life to develop a really flavour packed meat and a healthy cover of fat.

Perfect for recipes like curries!

If you would like some mutton please get in touch as we will only have a limited amount! This should be available in the coming month due to delays with the slaughterhouse.

The overlords have caught up with us... We've gone metric 🤯

Since the dawn of time we've been fully imperial, pounds and ounces, the proper stuff! Unfortunately after a few issues with our old scales, which we reckon have been in loyal use since the late 80s, we've had to purchase new scales. Unfortunately it has proved impossible to find modern British commercial scales that trade in pounds and ounces.

To avoid confusion we've decided to now label everything in price per kg. But fear not, we're still old fashioned so we won't give you a confused expression when you ask for a pound of mince!

Apologies in advance for any confusion but we'll all be confused together! Welcome to the 21st century... 🤯🖖🏻

We've checked and that's cheaper than Tesco's AND Asda! We're going to go out on a hunch and say that there's isn't hung on the bone for atleast 3 weeks, hand trimmed to perfection and hand rolled with basting fat!

Perfect for that upcoming Sunday roast, sticking in the freezer or keeping for mother's day!

Forget your braising steak, this is what you want! Proper bone in shin of beef. This the stuff your grandparents used to cook with.
Delicious marrow in the bone that melts into your stew and a flavour packed cut to really warm you up. The meat will fall off the bone after a few hours in the casserole dish so no need to be worried about dealing with the bone!
