Hoping to take part in the Big Butterfly count...so far only white butterflies, a few Ringlets and the odd Red Admiral

In the next few days ( in between rain showers) we will be cropping all the lavender for oil distillation. As we have also had drought and high temperatures (result much shorter stems) it will be interesting to see how much oil we'll get - and how different from last year where we had almost constant rain
