Experienced Florist Wanted – Join the SOW Family 🌿
SOW (Sharpes of Wollaton) is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic florist to join our family-run business in the heart of the Wollaton community.
Sharpes of Wollaton has been part of the local community for around 40 years, and our family has been running the business for over 13 years. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with our customers over the years and of the friendly, personal service that makes SOW what it is.
We’re now looking for an experienced florist who loves what they do and would enjoy becoming part of our small, friendly team.
We’re looking for someone with experience across all areas of floristry, including:
🌸 Hand-tied bouquets and everyday arrangements
🌸 Sympathy and funeral flowers
🌸 Wedding flowers and bridal work
🌸 Bespoke and seasonal designs
🌸 Working directly with customers to bring their ideas to life
You’ll need to be confident working independently, have a good eye for colour and design, and take real pride in creating beautiful, high-quality flowers. Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is warm, reliable and enjoys being part of a local, independent business.
The role
* Initially 3 days per week
* 9am–5pm, Monday to Saturday
* Potential for increased hours after January
* Salary dependent on experience
This would suit an experienced florist who enjoys the variety of floristry and the personal connection that comes with working in a community shop. No two days are quite the same, and we love the fact that our work is part of so many important moments in our customers’ lives — from birthdays and celebrations to weddings and saying goodbye to loved ones.
