After many years, countless coffees, and an incredible journey together, this weekend marks another big chapter for us at Mini Misfits Cafe! ☕️🍪 we’re relocating to Helensville!
This decision hasn’t been an easy one. After ongoing battles with council requirements and resource consent challenges, we can no longer operate at our current site as of July 1st and we have reached a point where moving is the best path forward for our family, our business, and our future..
As we prepare for this next chapter, we’ve been reflecting on how far we’ve come. Through relocations, challenges, rebranding, and plenty of uncertainty along the way, this community has stood behind us every step of the journey. When things got tough, you showed up. You supported us, encouraged us, shared our story, and helped us continue doing what we love.
We will never be able to fully express how grateful we are for every coffee purchased, every kind word, every recommendation, and every person who chose to support a small local business. You helped build Mini Misfits Cafe into what it is today 🫶🏼 A special thank you goes to my partner, Damion. His vision, determination, and hard work brought our container café to life. He built the perfect cafe space that allows us to do everything we need in one place and be fully self-sufficient. What started as an idea became Mini Misfits Cafe, and now that same container is giving us the freedom to begin again ☕️✨🍪
While we’re sad to be leaving, we’re also excited about what’s ahead. This isn’t goodbye — it’s simply another move, another chapter, and another opportunity to grow..
Tomorrow will be our final day trading at Drinnan Road. We’ll be open from 7am–12pm and closing early as we have a catering event to prepare for. Thank you for being part of our story. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for helping us continue through every challenge and every change.
