Can something this small really punch above its weight? 🥊

This 3T Track Loader is one of the smaller machines in our fleet, but put it on a tight site and it holds its own against gear twice its size.

It's rubber tracks give it the grip to keep working on difficult terrain, while its compact footprint means it doesn’t need half the site to manoeuvre.

Looks like we've got a new recruit at Pronto Hire!
Meet Frank 🐾

His role? Inspecting the fleet, testing the operator seats and making sure everything's up to spec before it heads out.

His productivity? Questionable.
His impact on morale? Hard to beat.
And his pay? Far too many treats and pats.

Safe to say Frank's settling into the Pronto Team pretty quickly and taking his new role seriously… well, most of the time.

Speaking of recipes, today we swapped the machines for something a little more breakfast-friendly and hit the Waikato for three BBQ stops.

On the menu were our secret-recipe gourmet chicken, bacon & egg burgers, cooked up for the teams at MS Civil Construction , C & R Developments and CB Civil 🔥

We hope you all enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed getting out there and catching up 🤝

We've recently added 6 new Mitsubishi Triton utes to the Pronto fleet, kitted out for our yard and service teams.

You'll see them out towing machinery, supporting our yards and heading to service calls across Auckland.

Heavy equipment might be new territory for Travis, but taking on a new challenge definitely isn't 🔧

He's joining Warwick & Eugene in the workshop team as our new Parts & Workshop Administrator, bringing his experience with him and stepping straight into a new industry 💪

For Travis, the right company mattered just as much as the right role. The chance to use what he already knows, keep developing, and get stuck into something new is what brought him to Pronto. He's looking forward to learning the heavy equipment industry inside out, taking on new challenges, and building strong relationships along the way 🤝

Outside of work, Travis is always chasing his next adventure, and it usually involves the ocean 🌊 Two kids, a boat, and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf make for a pretty good weekend, and he's making the most of New Zealand's coastline while he's at it ⛵

Six years, multiple projects, and one thing that hasn't changed: the relationship 🤝

Working with Tom and the team at HEB Construction has always been about more than supplying machinery. It's about being responsive, reliable and there when they need us.

For Tom, a big part of that comes down to knowing that when he needs support, we're there.

"If I call day or night, 24/7, I'm going to get a response within about 10–15 minutes. And I've never really had any downtime."

That trust matters even more on jobs like HEB's recent emergency works in Rosedale, where timelines were tight, conditions could change fast, and downtime wasn't an option.

We've seen those sites 👀

The ones where you look at the access and think, how the heck is all that material getting in there.

The default answer is manpower. Get a crew hauling it in by hand, load after load, all day.

A few loads in, fatigue kicks in. Productivity drops. And the boys have earned themselves another smoko just from shifting material around site.

But what if all that time and energy went into the actual job instead?

Conveyors move material into hard-to-reach areas without throwing more labour at the problem so you have:
📦 Less manual handling, less strain on the crew
👷 Fewer guys tied up moving material instead of building
⏱️ Less downtime waiting on material to show up where it's needed
📈 Better productivity on the parts of the job that actually matter

And the "too expensive" objection doesn't hold up once you factor in the labour and time it saves. Side by side, it can end up the cheaper way to get the job done.
