On sunny winter days like these and in the ever changing political world we live in right now that’s impacting fuel on our motu, we really really appreciate all of this solar energy at our Mason Road hub.

Earlier this year we doubled our solar capacity and the impact is huge.
* Less carbon emissions from fossil fuel consumption
* More resilience to the ongoing impacts of climate change
* No noisy generator impacting our wetland community and our human neighbours!
* And perhaps a little less reliance on the crazy actions of politicians on the other side of the world

This project was supported by the Auckland Council Climate Grant, we are so appreciative of their partnership to ensure we are minimising our environmental impacts and getting prepared for future climate change effects.

We have massive admiration for the small number of freehouses in Aotearoa. Bars that are truly supporting the awesome, diverse community of independent craft brewers across the country. 16tun is one of these gems serving up an incredible array of beers so go down and grab a beer in the sunshine. You could even choose a pint made with solar power on a wee island in the Hauraki Gulf….just sayin
