Heres's the one we all look for at calving....the last one!

A nice bull calf for 12 year-old Kanuka Jaguar, an 11th calf for this great matron - interestingly her 8th bull calf in her row!

Sale day done and dusted for another year....

Really proud of how the bulls looked and sold
12/12 sold ✅️
New record average for us at $4,891 ✅️
New record top price for us at $11,000 ✅️

Great to sell bulls to both returning and new purchasers - we thank you and all underbidders for supporting our program

Really excited for the future of Kanuka Ultron 2501, the top priced bull, heading off for stud duties at Otapawa Poll Herefords.

Just 1 day to go until sale day.....

It's as if these guys know they are due for a tidy up and painting with lot numbers today, so they will make it as difficult as possible

Under the mud - this guy's a sharp bull, Lot 20 - Umaga, a heifers calf by calving ease specialist NZHA Cooper, he'd go well over cows or heifers.

Only 2 days to go until sale day....

We are really happy with the depth all the way through the catalogue this year - especially when bulls like these are the very last 2 through the ring - Lot 22 - Usher and Lot 23 - Upmarket.

Both have balanced EBVs, making them suited for many mating programs but these 2 are particularly well designed for use with beef heifers - high calving ease, low birthweight, good growth alongside very good carcase quality traits.

Only 3 days to go to bull sale....

This is were it all begins, strong, productive, maternal cows running on hill country producing a line of bulls that are bred, born and raised in this environment so we know they will shift wherever they go.

The 2nd and 3rd cows from the left are the dams of Lots 3 and 4 in this years sale, reared by them as young 3 year old cows.

Not long to go till sale day now.....

Pretty average day here but there's nothing average about this guy - Kanuka Ultron 2501! He's our first bull up next Tuesday, and is one of the best we have ever offered. His young dam has now produced our lead sale bulls with her first 2 calves and has another very good one at foot. He is a great combination of exciting new genetics through his sire SHF Kilogram and proven NZ genetics from our best cow family.

Bit of a treat this morning, shifting the weaner bulls in the light of day as most stock work round here at this time of the year gets done in the dark before and after work!

These 12 young bulls are progressing well towards sale day in early September - a nice mix of genetics to suit whatever you are looking for....
