Feijoa pronounced feejoha
Native to Southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and parts of Argentina and is cultivated in mild dry climates for its sweet fruit.
They were introduced into New Zealand in the 1920s.

Today I found many feijoas on the ground which is a sign that they are ready to chow. Got so many and decided to make something.

Introducing Feijoa bread 😄 I used banana bread recipe and added feijoas instead of bananas.

Got my license card in the post today 😁
FYI - South Africans can drive in New Zealand using SA license for up to 1 year after arrival.
Last week Thursday I went to VTNZ and applied for a conversion, cost me $26 and took about 20 minutes. I did an eye test that took 5 seconds and they of course took my pic. No lines at all. Walked in and got served. Just saying 😆 2 business days later it arrived in my post box.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday and I was feeling kinda down because I can't be there to celebrate with her... Made some comfort kai (food) vetkoek & mince curry 😋 Not sure if it made me feel better but it tasted amazing 😍

Made 2 batches for the kids for school for the week. Easiest and most delicious chocolate chip cookies ever 😋
