We were delighted to welcome Nancy Lu to our farm for a visit with our Managing Director, Natalie Dang to share a little of what we do here at Maui Milk.

It was a wonderful sunny day and perfect to spend time out in the paddock with our 10-week-old lambs, before heading to the milking shed to show more of our day-to-day farming operations.

We appreciated Nancy’s interest in our work and her recognition of the contribution initiatives like ours can make to New Zealand’s farming industry. It was great to share our passion for sheep dairying and the work we’re doing to help grow this exciting part of New Zealand agriculture.

Thank you, Nancy, for taking the time to visit and learn more about what we do here at Maui Milk!

We’re proud to celebrate the official launch of one of our customers’ products in China, made using premium sheep milk ingredients from Maui Milk.

As a premium ingredient supplier, we provide high-quality New Zealand sheep milk ingredients to businesses that use them to create exceptional products. We supply the quality and our customers transform it into something uniquely their own.
Our Managing Director, Natalie Dang, attended the launch and had the opportunity to share more about Maui Milk, our New Zealand supply chain, and the quality behind our premium sheep milk ingredients.

What makes this milestone especially exciting is seeing how strongly our customers in China value and promote the New Zealand origin and quality of our ingredients. Demand for premium sheep milk ingredients continues to grow, and we’re proud to be part of the supply chain connecting New Zealand farmers with premium products in China.

From our farmers here in New Zealand to premium products on shelves in China, it’s rewarding to see how far our ingredients can go.

Another group of delegates recently visited one of our supply farms in Cambridge, where they got to experience sheep dairy here in New Zealand for themselves.

For our Chinese customers, these visits are an important part of understanding where their sheep milk powder comes from and the people and farming practices behind it.

Demand for New Zealand sheep milk powder keeps increasing. Existing customers and new partners are reaching out with ideas and products to develop using our premium sheep milk from New Zealand. This trend boosts our confidence in the growth of the sheep dairy industry, and importantly, we are seeking more farmers to join our supplier network.

We recently welcomed some delegates to our genetics farm near Taupō, giving them a closer look at the work behind our Southern Cross® Dairy Sheep genetics.
The visit gave our guests the opportunity to learn more about sheep dairy in New Zealand first-hand and capture content to help educate their customers and build their brands around sheep milk.
These visits are an important part of our work. Our customers in China continue to show strong interest in premium New Zealand sheep milk powder, with both existing customers and new product developers seeking supply for their growing product ranges.
That demand is why Maui Milk continues to look for more farmers who are interested in becoming part of the New Zealand sheep dairy industry.

Maui backs sheep milk farmers with higher payout.

We’re pleased to have been featured in Farmers Weekly, highlighting Maui’s continued commitment to supporting sheep milk farmers and creating opportunities for the growth of New Zealand’s sheep dairy industry.

The article looks at Maui’s new payment structure, which is designed to encourage more farmers to participate in sheep dairying, particularly across the North Island. As demand for premium New Zealand sheep milk products continues to grow, building a strong and sustainable supply base remains an important focus for Maui.

The new structure is part of our wider commitment to working alongside our supply farmers and creating a pathway for more farmers to get involved in an exciting and growing sector.

With sheep dairy offering farmers another diversification opportunity, Maui continues to invest in the industry's development and the long-term growth of our New Zealand supply.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of delegates to our demonstration farm for an insight into the world of sheep dairy farming.
The visit gave our guests the chance to see our milking systems in action, learn more about the benefits and potential of sheep dairy, and better understand what goes on behind the scenes to produce high-quality New Zealand sheep milk.
And with lambing season in full swing, there was plenty of action happening around the farm! Our delegates even got to experience one of the season's highlights: feeding a newborn lamb.
We’re always proud to open the farm gates and share what makes sheep dairy so special.

Celebrating Another Great Season with Our Supply Farmers. Each year, the Maui Milk team hosts an end-of-season event with our supply farmers, a chance to celebrate achievements and enjoy some well-earned fun together. This year, we headed to the Waikato Clay Target Club for an afternoon of friendly competition, then dinner at the amazing New Hamilton Hotel restaurant.
This was also a great opportunity to recognise excellence across our supply farms through our annual Milk Quality Awards, including Best APC, Best BMSCC, Lowest BMSCC, and the Performance Achievement Award. Congratulations to all our award winners, and thank you to every supplier for your dedication to producing premium sheep milk.
