Thank you so much for your generous donation of cream for our Big Brothers Big Sisters Nelson Tasman Fundraising Dinner and Charity Auction. Your support helped us create such a special evening, with around 240 people in the room, all coming together to support the work we do with local young people.



We were thrilled to raise an incredible $61,000 on the night, and your contribution played a part in helping make that possible. I’ve attached a copy of the screen that was rotating throughout the room, along with the event menu featuring your logo, so you can see how your support was acknowledged on the evening. Donations like yours make a real difference, not only by helping us keep event costs down, but by allowing more of the funds raised to go directly towards supporting our mentoring programme.

Hi Shane and Tania,

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your support will be put towards tournament travel costs for our 1st XI Football and 1st XI Hockey teams, who will be representing Nelson College at the NZ Secondary Schools National Tournaments in the coming weeks.

Our 1st XI Football team is currently ranked 8th in New Zealand and will be travelling to Palmerston North for their tournament. Several of our Karenni and Colombian students are part of this squad, and your contribution will help make this valuable opportunity more accessible for them.

Our 1st XI Hockey team is currently ranked 6th in New Zealand and will be travelling to Dunedin. With travel costs of $1,725 per player, your support is greatly appreciated. The team includes two sets of brothers, making the financial commitment particularly significant for those families.

Thank you again for your generosity and investment in our students. Your support helps ensure these young men can compete at the highest level of secondary school sport while creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.

What a PRIMO day for the Nelson College vs Shirley Boys High School Rugby game. Great weather, great game and great interaction with all involved. Nelson College had a good win and my team of helpers were awesome. Great to catch up with Richard (the principal) of Nelson College who was very appreciative of our support, and all the boys loved the Primo. Thanks to the Waddell Foundation for putting it all together and Thanks Anchor for the support. Also great to meet the Shirley Boys principal. Thanks from Shane and Tarn, we had a PRIMO day and great to be able to support an awesome school.

Coming up next week, Thursday 2nd. The big rugby game between Nelson Boys College and Shirley Boys College. 12pm kick off at Nelson college. We will be there to watch what is probably one of the South Islands greatest school rugby clashes. As sponsors of this event we will have some goodies to give away. Come support your local team.
