Operator - Food Processing

At Tasman Bay Food Co, we're the team behind Juicies, Moosies, Dr Feelgood Frozen Pops, Speedway Sauce and Zest bakery products. From our site in Brightwater, we produce millions of frozen treats enjoyed by Kiwi families and exported around the world.
We're looking for an experienced Machinery Operator to join our production team and help make these iconic products.
This isn't a stand-at-one-machine-all-day kind of job. You'll be running equipment, solving problems, keeping production flowing, and working with a great bunch of people who enjoy getting stuck in and getting the job done.
What you'll be doing
*Operating production and packaging machinery
*Making Juicies and Moosies to the high standards our customers expect
*Monitoring quality and keeping production running smoothly. As operator, you will be in charge of your line.
*Troubleshooting machinery issues and helping solve problems
*Following food safety and health & safety procedures
*Working across different areas of production as your skills develop
We're looking for someone who:
*Has experience operating machinery in manufacturing or food production
*Is mechanically minded and enjoys hands-on work
*Can work independently and use initiative
*Has a strong focus on quality, food safety and health & safety
*Is reliable, punctual and turns up ready to work
*Is physically fit and comfortable with lifting
*Brings a positive attitude and enjoys contributing positively to the team
A forklift licence would be a bonus, but it's not essential.
Hours
Minimum 32 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Start times between 5:30am and 6:30am depending on the area you're working in
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with previous machinery operating or manufacturing experience who can hit the ground running after training.
