Thought for food!

A beautiful day for our spring Field Day with Hayward growers yesterday.

Thanks to everyone who came, asked great questions and gave their insights; that shared knowledge helps us all grow great fruit. Special thanks as well to Pranoy and Brent for hosting!

One big takeaway: we're anticipating a dry, windy El Niño summer - keep up a concerted effort to maintain optimal soil moisture levels using moisture meters, longer swards and irrigation if you have it!

SunGold sailing into the sunset of the season!

Here's Whero, the final charter shipment for the 2026 kiwifruit season, carrying 1.7 million trays (6,120 tonnes!) of SunGold kiwifruit to Shanghai.

We still have a few more individual containers to depart, but this charter is the last whole-vessel that Zespri has hired to get New Zealand's kiwifruit to market this year!

It's a golden finish to the season 💛🚢

The Whero has departed the Port of Tauranga carrying more than 1.7 million trays of Zespri SunGold™ Kiwifruit as our final charter vessel of the 2026 New Zealand season.

The Whero is on its way to China and is expected to arrive in Shanghai in the coming weeks.

As the New Zealand season comes to a close, we'd like to thank everyone across the supply chain who has helped deliver another successful season, from our growers and post-harvest teams through to customers and partners around the world, as well as our Zespri team 🥝🌏

Shout-out to Epic Te Puke and all the awesome volunteers who took part in the Great Te Puke Spring Clean in September!

Together, volunteers collected a massive 191.5kg of litter from local streets, parks, reserves, and beaches - Amazing work!

REIGNING CHAMPS!🏆🏐

What a weekend at the Bay of Plenty Rugby Zespri International RSE Workers' Sports Festival! A massive congratulations to our men’s volleyball team for taking out the top spot and retaining their title for another year!

A huge shout-out as well to our soccer team, who played with so much heart and gave it everything on the pitch. Both teams put in weeks of hard practice leading up to the event, and we couldn't be prouder of how they represented us.

Thank you to the organisers, managers, helpers, and supporters. It was a great event to cap off the year for many — to all our RSE workers who have headed home or are preparing to leave soon, thank you for all your hard work this year. We hope to see you again soon, safe travels!
