Thank you very much for the kind words Southwest Iowa Egg Coop! We can't express how much they have helped us out. The first month of opening, our boxes of eggs jumped from $30 a box to $70 from our food supplier. Luckily, SWIE stopped in the restaurant to ask if we'd like to use their service. Not only are their eggs reasonably priced, but they're great quality, and HUGE! Local shopping at Southwest Iowa Egg Coop, Weaver Meats LLC, and Fareway Stores Creston have allowed us to continue to serve great quality food at affordable prices!

I am just wondering how a 1/4 beef that weighed 221 pounds ended up being 111 pounds in the freezer? I also want to know how a 1/4 beef processing fee ends up being $314. This made the 111 lb of meat cost $850 and 67 lb was hamburger. 110 pounds of waste is crazy. I am just wondering if a mistake was made or if we got ripped off? We had a quarter done in 2020 and processing was $175 total. I realize prices have gone up but this prices us out of buying 1/4's or 1/2's and we have never ever bought a 1/4 that was 50% loss. The farmer we bought the beef from said he had never sold a cow that had that kind of loss and we have never bought one that was. We will just buy stuff on sale at Fareway from now on.
