I’m starting this blog because a little over 2 years ago, my husband and I received news that we had anticipated due to his family history, yet unexpected as he was living a healthy lifestyle for most of his life. We are now dedicated to finding and sharing recipes, nutrition tips and ideas for anyone interested in preventing and fighting this disease.

My favorite projects are transforming ugly thrift store ‘art’ into something fun and unexpected. These are my newest transformations- Gold Fish and Blue Fish. I wanted to create dimension and texture, but still be a bit whimsical and colorful. What do you think? Should I work on a few more for this series?

I’ll be sharing these at the Ripon Community Art Show on 2/21 which is hosted by the Ripon Arts Guild. They’ll be alongside over 100 other local artists’ works, including our talented high school artist from our local high schools.
