Ravina is ALL that!! If you are looking for a wicked cool show ewe that will then perform in the lambing barn, you NEED this sheep! I barely want to sell her. She is almost impossible to pick a hole in and is so feminine and pretty. I love functional, pretty sheep and this girl absolutely fits that! She is F2 Towdypotts and also goes back to Barlaes Titus and Carry House. Her sire is perhaps the best, and my most favorite, BFL I have ever produced. “Raphael” stamped each of his lambs with incredible breed type, dense & stylish fleeces, and lovely temperaments. Her dam shears consistent, heavy fleeces that are stylish and easy to sell. This ewe is just an absolute powerhouse when it comes to functionality and fleece!
I am so excited to consign to the National sale for the first time! Iron Water Ranch has been breeding BFL since 2012 and has employed the use of LAI to improve structure and breed type of the animals we produce. We show and sell sheep and fleeces all up and down the west coast with occasional trips out east. They spend the fall and winter months grazing grass seed fields so they know how to put in the work. The BFLs bring me immense joy, and I am incredibly proud to be able to produce them at the caliber that we do. Our BFL fleeces and sheep have won numerous awards at shows such as Supreme Champion ewe at Estes Park, Champion Ewe at Black sheep Gathering 7 times total (4 years in a row, currently), Champion Ram at Black Sheep Gathering 4 times total, Supreme Best Fleeced Ewe at Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival, and Supreme Champion Young Flock at Oregon Flock and Fiber against 14 other breeds.
