Have you started following our butcher yet? You may know what farm your meat comes from but do you know where it’s produced at? Check out our USDA processor in Buckley MI, RRR Meat Processing has been our trusted source since day one over 14 years ago and we think of them as family! Here’s great post about their USDA inspector Harold.
Make sure you click that follow button their posts are so informative and fun!
Thank you guys for all you do ❤️

MEET HAROLD: OUR USDA INSPECTOR 🥩📋

Every federally inspected meat processing facility needs someone whose mere presence makes an entire room of grown adults suddenly remember every USDA regulation they’ve ever learned.

At RRR, that person is Harold.

Now, to be clear — Harold does NOT work for us. Harold works for the federal government.

Which means technically, he’s here to inspect us.

However, since he’s here everyday, we still consider him part of the crew.

Harold has several special talents:

• Spotting something from approximately three rooms away.
• Producing paperwork we didn’t know existed.
• Asking one perfectly innocent question that somehow makes everyone immediately review their recent life choices.
• Remembering regulations the rest of us have to look up.
• And actually enjoying paperwork, which frankly raises more questions than it answers.

We’ve also noticed something strange over the years…

When Harold walks onto the floor, productivity mysteriously increases. Posture improves. Everyone suddenly knows exactly what they’re supposed to be doing.

Coincidence? We think not.

All jokes aside, Harold has an incredibly important job. He holds us accountable, keeps us on our toes, and helps make sure the food leaving RRR is safe and handled to the standards our customers deserve.

We respect him.

We appreciate him.

We mostly listen to him. 😂

And when there’s any disagreement about whether Harold outranks Carl…

Carl is consulted.

No further comment.

FOOD SAFETY IS NO JOKE.
NEITHER IS HAROLD.

EDIT: We are excited to help out the Scouting America Troop 92 by spreading the word and filling up our order form for Apple pies. So come in and order one today for you family thanksgiving. 🥧 ♥️

We’ve really been feeling the loss of Thunder Baykery this year, and with the recent loss of Farmers Creamery, our community has certainly had a lot to miss. We know they will rebuild and be back before long! In the meantime, I’ve decided to bring back homemade pies this year to help sweeten things up a little. ❤️ We understand how important it is to know where your food comes from and what’s in it, but it’s also important to have a place you can count on to find just what you’re looking for. We are so proud to be that place for our community, and we hope these homemade pies bring a little extra sweetness to your tables and hearts this season!

🥧 Please share this post so no one misses out! Orders are due by November 11th. Call or stop in at Alpena General Store to place your order. Thank you for supporting our little local business! ❤️

This Columbus Day, we reflect on how agriculture has shaped our history and continues to sustain our communities. Over time, the exchange of crops, animals, and farming practices between continents transformed agriculture around the world. From traditional hand tools and horse-drawn plows to today’s modern farms, farmers continue to work hard, care for the land, and provide food for our families. As we look back on history, we celebrate and say Thank You to the farmers who keep agriculture growing and our communities thriving!
