Happy Earth day farm friends! šŸŒŽ This month we’ve been gifted the chance to see Earth again from space and man was it a good reminder to be grateful for this planet we call home. On our farm we make sure to take care of the land we use, we use organic practices and strive to make it a safe nurturing place for all earth’s creatures. This year we are working even harder move towards better regenerative practices, including going no till in the flower field. We are always learning and want to keep doing what we can to make the land we farm on as healthy as possible. You can know when you purchase our flowers and produce, we’ve grown them with your health and our Earth in mind.

I feel like I can finally breathe! After field remediation caused a late start to spring, we finally have buds and even a few blooms! That means we will have {limited} flowers when we return to market for the year at Anna Farmer’s market on Sunday April 26th! We can’t wait to see you all and start getting these gorgeous flowers on your kitchen tables!

Spring is here! All my babies I’ve had growing since January are out in the field and already growing. What had seemed like a late start to annuals due to weather and our remediation in the field has turned out to be a better transplanting experience than we’ve had in the past. We are seeing no transplant shock and everything is looking great and already putting out new growth. We have been experimenting with potting up starts which I think is helping tremendously in their move from indoors to into the field. These air pruning trays from are amazing!

We made it to Spring! Today is the spring equinox, from tomorrow until fall we will have more light per day than dark. So today we usher in the new and celebrate all the beauty that is on its way. On the farm we are busy today planting seedlings in the produce and flower fields to celebrate. Flowers and produce are on the way!

Y’all, I am the worst at pronouncing flower names. šŸ˜‚ I chalk it up to mostly only reading the names and rarely hearing them pronounced. Or to even confuse it more, I listen to podcasts from all over the world so I will pick up the British or New Zealand pronunciation. Please don’t judge me too bad if I butcher one in front of you, hopefully we can figure out what I’m trying to say! What plant names do you struggle with?

If flowers are your vibe… you are definitely in the right place. I cannot wait to have a field full of flowers, bees, and butterflies. It’s coming soon, the seeds are all planted!

I will always be a girl taking pictures of sunsets and tonight’s was especially gorgeous! For years now, I use the colors of the Texas sunsets to decide what colors to grow on the farm. From pinks to purples and all the colors in between, I love finding inspiration right here in the field. Did you catch that gorgeous sunset tonight?
