Our team has been working hard to get the Eastport Community Farm's greenhouse ready for winter use. We want to thank Chaney Enterprises for the materials, Robert Hector III branch manger of United Rentals Annapolis for the machines and Wimbish Masonry for their constant expert guidance and the tamper. With these three companies' support, our team added 40 yards of sand to the downhill end of the greenhouse to bring the slope within ADA standards. The next step is adding a layer of compacted gravel for a durable finished surface.

With this solid foundation, our greenhouse will reach its maximum potential as a space for community empowerment and delicious food production.

Joy Grows mission is to build community skills through farm to table programs that combat food food insecurity.
