The Rhode Island Equitation Championship (RIEC) is proud to announce the return of the Joy Memorial Fund Grant for the 2026 season. This $500 grant is designed to assist qualified riders who demonstrate financial need with the expenses associated with competing in the RI Equitation Championships Finals.
Approved funds must be applied directly toward entry fees, braiding, coaching, and/or shipping costs. Trainers are welcome and encouraged to nominate a deserving student.

Application Deadline: Monday, August 4, 2026

Recipient Announcement: Wednesday, August 19, 2026

RI Finals Pre-Entries Due: Wednesday, August 26, 2026

3. 1.30-1.40 jumper - 10 year old Belgian mare by Chacco’s Rubin DSF. USEF 5423513. Super competitive and loves her job! Strong but very rideable - she had lots of kid and amateur miles before her current rider. Fast and careful! We had a fantastic week at Fieldstone June week 2!

Congratulations to all of our riders on an amazing week of great riding!
Highlights included:

Prince George and Esmee- 🏆 Champion Green Pony Hunters

Let’s Go and Emily - 🏆 Reserve Champion Younger Adult Eq and ribbons in the NHS and NEHC medals! Letty also scored an 87 in the Handy portion of the Derby with Madison!

Da Capo Al Fine and Karleigh- 🥇NHS Medal, 🥉USHJA Hunter Seat and Jump Seat Medals

Constellation and Madison - 🥉 in the Welcome, 8th in the Grand Prix

Clovermeade Purple Rain and Esmee- great ribbons in the Childrens Ponies, including 🥇 in a large under saddle

Madison also rode Emma Palagonia’s On Queue to Champion in the USHJA 2’6 and Mystic Valley Hunt Club’s Flying Colours to Reserve Champion in the 3’6 Performance Hunters ! Thank you Sally and Emma for the opportunity to show your awesome horses!

Looking forward to some one day fun days before we head to HITS in July!
