linktr.ee/fortgeorgebrewery The oldest US settlement west of the Rockies, Fort Astoria was the Pacific Fur Company's primary trading post in the Northwest. Under temporary British authority during the War of 1812, it was renamed "Fort George" after King George III. In 1924, the current Fort George Building was erected to house an automotive repair shop. Abandoned and neglected in the early 90s, the Fort George Building was revitalized in 2007 as a home to Blue Scorcher Bakery and the original brewpub. Fort George purchased the neighboring Lovell Building in 2010, which now houses the Lovell Taproom and a larger brew system. An upstairs pizzeria was added to the Fort George Building in 2013. Fort George has been thankful to grow with the community around the Lower Columbia River.

At just 2.8% ABV, it's a big IPA in a little IPA's shoes. Quiet. Understated. Chill. Putting all of our signature hop flavor into a b**r so small was no easy feat. Fortunately, all our brewers are trained in the fundamentals of magic. But we’re not here to boast. You might even say we’re... low key.

Un Seis is a test batch (test batch uno) for a spring collaboration with a brewery known for Seises. This is just one Seis. There may be two Seises. There may be three. There may be more. Only one fact is a mathematical certainty - when you add a great IPA to another great IPA, the sum is six.

It's a crisp, dry West Coast IPA with a whole lot of fresh fruit and citrus flavor. Collaboration details coming in the future, but let us know what you think in the meantime. Releasing on draft only at the Pubs today.

Same ingredients, same river, different ideas, different b**rs. It's either a West Coast IPA, Vacation Destination, brewed in Hood River, or a Hazy IPA, Destination Vacation, brewed in Astoria.

Same river, same region, same dedication to quality and craft, different b**rs. Take your Destination Vacation (Hazy IPA) to your Vacation Destination (WC IPA) in a matching set of 16oz 4packs from pFriem & Fort George this fall.

Crysknife is a melange of hop fruit & spice with multitudes of Citra, Strata, Azacca, and Cashmere hops. Brewed from a shared love of hazy IPAs and science fiction classics, this trusty collaboration with Our Mutual Friend Brewery out of Denver, Colorado should never leave your side. For safety reasons.

A crysknife is a blade made from the tooth of a sandworm in the novel Dune by Frank Herbert. It's the weapon of choice for the Fremen from the planet Arrakis. We like to think that this would be their b**r of choice.

Last year, after many years of talking about what we were going to do during the winter instead of hibernate, we threw our first-ever B**r Tree Fest: a wintertime celebration of Tree B**r.

This year, in addition to longtime staff and customer favorites, Magnanimous and Spruce Budd, we'll have special cask b**rs, bierstacheln, Christmas trees for sale, tree-themed vendors, a big tree made out of b**r kegs, live music, and guest Tree B**rs on tap from some of the best brewers in the country.

B**r Tree Fest is open to the public, but if you want to drink the tree b**r on tap, you'll need a B**r Tree Fest Glass and some tokens. You can purchase both in advance at the link in bio.

This is the 15th year of Thursday Night Lectures in the Showroom at Fort George. That's 15 years of celebrating and raising awareness for community partners and nonprofit organizations through free educational and entertaining lectures about local topics by local people. If you are in Astoria and you want to know about stuff, spend Thursday night getting some knowledge (and a pint).

This week: Ales & Ideas presents What is MERTS – The History and Future of CCC’s Trades Programs. Doors open at 6pm, talk starts at 7pm. All ages welcome.
