With increasing prices for food, would you rather a restaurant cheapen their ingredients and get a lesser quality meal or would you rather they increase their prices to provide the standard that has made them successful?

Keith and I are realizing many restaurants who have had superb food in the past are missing the mark by cheapening their ingredients.

I have also been noticing a lack of cleanliness, especially in bathrooms. If my shoes stick to the floor because they haven't been cleaned recently, it makes me wonder what the kitchen is like.

I love all the birthday rewards that restaurants send me. I was excited to find Another Broken Egg Cafe in Athens, Ga but we won’t be going back.

The free pancakes were dry and not very warm and the eggs I ordered to go with them were cold and not cooked properly. Keith’s food had to be remade and it was so S.L.O.W!

Our server and her trainee were both awesome and friendly but sadly they are at the mercy of the cook and management. I also noticed a health score of 90 on my way out. I didn’t take time to read the violations because I didn’t want to know at that point. Ironically, I felt like this was the nicest location I had been in but I will save this for when we are back in Florida where it’s always great.

It’s been absolutely perfect at Château Elon today. The weather, the facial, the lunch, the hot tub, the spa and the smell of honeysuckle 😌

Check out ResortPass for day passes if you’re not getting a spa treatment. It gives you access to all the spa amenities (hot tub, wet and dry saunas, indoor pool, sun deck, hammocks and swings)

My birthday month is off to a great start 🥳

Yesterday, I started celebrating my birthday with the longest brunch visit in history with a new friend. I've passed another location of Bread & Butter and have been wanting to try it for over a year. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Bagel & Tuxedo Cold Brew.

The Jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, strawberries & strawberry jam. It was not terrible but not really great either. The bagel texture was tough and the jam didn't taste like jam or jelly, it was more like an artificial strawberry spread. Thankfully the fresh strawberries made up for that. I wouldn't order it again.

The Tuxedo Cold Brew taste more like a glass a rich chocolate milk than a coffee and I enjoyed it but couldn't really taste the coffee.

I give this ⭐️⭐️ for the food, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the company and a great kick off for my birthday month. I probably won't try this place again but I'm thankful for the comfy couches that made extending our visit a little easier on my tailbone.
