A Golden hour wedding renewal cake for a very special couple. This tall, artistic beauty is adorned with handmade decorations including daisies and foliage, golden moths and a golden praying mantis and vintage letters. Whenever someone comes to me with a vision that is beautiful and artistic, I love bringing it to life the best that I can! This one was quite fun.

I feel that it's important to share videos of my cakes. Why? Showing only a picture consists of picking out my favorite picture of all the pictures that I took. It is the most perfect of all the pictures. Showing a video shows the realness of that cake. What do I mean by that? It shows you that I'm human and that I'm not perfect. It shows you the little imperfections alongside all of the beauty of the cake. Behind every great picture of a cake, there are moments of joy and moments of learning. A video is more than a single shot. It's a deep look into the true nature of that piece of cake art.

It's been awhile since I was able to create a realistic looking cake. And you know, this is my absolute favorite. When you allow me to be as creative as possible and create something really cool, my heart is oh so happy. Everything in this picture is handmade from edible material. The c books are homemade lemon cakes with lemon curd. The teacups are made from white chocolate and isomalt. The doilies are cake lace. And everything else is made from fondant. The books were dusted with stencils. And are completely decorated on the back sides as well. I will find time to post a video at some point. I actually had made a little Golden spoon as well and then I forgot to put it on the cake board. The cake board is completely covered in fondant and airbrushed as well to look like wood panels. I couldn't be more proud of this cake and I hope that you love it as much as I do!

I'm pretty sure the "2 Wild" theme isn't going anywhere. Whenever I get a cake that is a theme I've done many times, I love to use it as an opportunity to see my growth! These are absolutely the cutest figures I've ever made for this theme. And the touches of pink made it extra special!

As the weather gets hotter, I find myself already longing for fall, and we aren't even in the midst of the Texas heat yet! Running into this old favorite of mine made me smile thinking about crisp evenings and fall colors.

This cake was for a fall baby shower and I used buttercream and fondant for the decorations. I've learned so much since this cake, but I just remember how much I surprised myself with this one.

And another one!!! It's very rare that I design number cakes, but it is definitely something I will get booked for every graduation season! In fact, I have another one next week! I am definitely a fan of the Hendrickson Hawks! This is one of the four high schools within my little suburb of Austin! Congrats to the grad!!

Graduation season is in full effect! Another beautiful cake! As many of you may or may not know, I do have a graphic design degree. And I create all of my own graphics for my cakes. This one had a really beautiful seamless wallpaper that I put together for the kiddo with different sayings pertaining to his specific journey. The cake turned out pretty cool!

Coming to a cake near you!! Look at these adorable jungle animals!?!?

Curious as to what products I'm using to create these beautiful little animals? My go-to is a base of Saracino pasta model which is a sugar paste. It has cocoa butter in it and it dries much harder than fondant but it's not quite gum paste. You have more working time with it. I keep white, red and black on hand. From having a base of white, I mix in Satin Ice fondant. I keep every shade of the rainbow on hand in Satin ice fondant. I find that I really enjoy mixing the two products together to achieve what I'm looking for. Saracino is also very expensive, and adding Satin ice, which is also an amazing product, makes the product last longer, is more cost effective, and also gives me a little bit more working time, a little bit more elasticity, but it dries really hard quickly. I highly recommend the mix!
