Thomas Farms A hobby farm peddling raw milk, raw milk products & free range chicken eggs. We’re happy you’re here! We are Taylor and Catie Thomas. Thank you for joining us!

On nine acres outside of Avoca, Iowa we raise chickens, ducks, fruits, vegetables, and offer some value added products such as dried egg noodles and baked goods. We have big plans for expansion in the coming years and can't wait to see where this exciting adventure takes us!!

If you’re waiting on me to reply about milk confirmations I got your messages/texts, but will reply in the morning. Birdie had her baby right on her due date! And right at milking time, it’s been a bit chaotic lol. But both mama and baby are doing so well! We need to shower, supper & bed time yet and I don’t want to be texting ya’ll at 11pm 🤣

Happy Sunday, it’s menu drop day!

We’re going classic with muffins! Peach cobbler & blueberry sourdough muffins. These are crowd favorites! 🫐

Coffee creamer flavors this week are Italian coffee creamer, brown sugar cinnamon & *honey lavender*. ☕️

I’m reallllyyy excited about that last one! I saw Woven Flower Co. had culinary lavender this week & just knew I had to do a honey lavender coffee creamer. Her flowers are gorgeous! And if we’re going to use honey of course we’re going to use local honey. So I found some really beautiful honey at The Anchored Collective right outside of Harlan! It’s a really beautiful space with so many cool things to shop!

💫going to pick supper💫

I walked out to the garden the other night to pick some supper. Kale, radishes and an onion. While my kids picked and ate mulberries by the creek.

Feeling really grateful for the beautiful life we’ve build and all the things we’ve been entrusted with. It’s not a life of leisure, and the work is never done. But it’s a beautiful, good life. And I’m so dang grateful for it 🖤

I have a few quick extras available for today yet!

🥬 Mixed, loose leaf lettuce! Fresh picked this morning. Grown right & washed ready for your table! Half pound bags (approx a gallon ziplock) for 6. I think I’ll have 4 available, I’m still packing them.

🍫 I have one pan of chocolate chocolate chip sourdough muffins up for grabs! 7 count for 12.

☕️ I have one pint of brown sugar cinnamon coffee creamer available. 9 per pint in glass, 10 per pint in plastic.

🥛 And a few pints of regular cream available plus a few gallons of milk. 8 per pint in glass, 9 per pint in plastic for cream. Milk is 7 per half gallon in glass or 8 per half gallon in plastic.

*note that glass is reserved for subscription customers, all other others will be in plastic.

Low quality video, high quality cuteness! Every night when I hay these two they plop down on top of it & eat it while laying down 🤣

There are two types of people in the world and they’ll probably marry each other 🤣 (veggies on pizza vs pepperoni…I don’t like pepperoni and he doesn’t love veggie pizza like I do lol)

We made sourdough pizza crust and the spinach, onions & basil are from the garden! 🌿

Sourdough muffin flavors are chocolate chocolate chip and lemon ricotta! I’m really excited about the lemon ricotta, they’re so good!

Coffee creamer flavors are Italian, Irish cream & cinnamon brown sugar! The cinnamon brown sugar is my new favorite! Made with raw milk & cream & flavored with wholesome ingredients.

Extra dairy options are milk, cream & yogurt! I also have eggs available, I forgot to put them on the menu. 4 per dozen!

The pick up schedule for the week is:

💫it’s salad season!💫

It’s banging salad season! 💃 I looooove a good salad! And the greens are (finally) ready to harvest in the garden! Even though it’s been hot, they’re not spicy, thankfully!

Tonight’s salad has kale & radishes from the garden and homemade ricotta cheese! Not home grown ingredients were walnuts, an apple, dried cranberries, chicken thighs & the dressing ingredients.

Is anyone else into super yummy salads? I can share a few recipes as we move through salad marathon season, if anyone would like! 🥗
