It is getting close to November 1, and that means getting those mares under lights to start breeding early in February 2027.
If you have questions about breeding and lights, reach out. Also make sure to speak/schedule your electrician if you want to put lights up and don’t use the mask.
Mares need 16 hours of consistent light and 8 hours of darkness for them to cycle. They need at least 60 days of this. In our climate n area it may take some mares a bit longer.

Trouble is ready to get in his stall for winter but he doesn’t get to stay here! Lol!

Have to give my little Gucci a shout out for giving me a decent futurity year through all the ailments she had that we discovered. She always showed up and tried thru it all and kept her pattern. Sometimes we did not clock where we wanted to but she kept her pattern and never refused or broke the pattern and she had every right to do so.
I was just hoping we could get to Pink Buckle and well we did. It was not the desired outcome but she did go out and perform and won some money. She did sustain an injury on the 2nd round so now she gets the winter off and I get to be Pressley’s chauffeur.

Had to get a run in on Gucci before the Pink Buckle as we have been on the struggle bus the last 2 months. She seems to be heading in the right direction now. We didn’t place but made a respectable 1D run. Thank you Lindsey Horner for being the best vet and helping Gucci feel better.
