A hearty and comforting Sri Lankan meal that helped me go to the Olympic Games 🇱🇰 - just not in the way you might think 🤔

Today I'm making a meal filled with nostalgia - Stringhoppers (ඉඳිආප්ප) with coconut milk fish (කිරි මාළු) 🐟 Everytime I eat this meal I'm immediately taken back to my childhood when I was training as a competitive swimmer 🏊‍♂️

Any other stringhopper lovers out there?

This was not an easy one. I may look composed here, but there were a lot of emotions off camera. Please consider contributing to Husma Foundation's efforts in providing nutritional supplements to children receiving cancer treatment at Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama.

EDIT: In the video I said the supplements are distributed at the temple premises inside the hospital. That's not correct ❌️ The collection point is at Dharma Sri Maha Bodhi Temple ✅️ Look up "Husma Foundation Collection and Distribution Centre" on Google Maps.

They are in need of the following supplements:

My dad is the biggest rugby fan I know 🏉 When I was little, he would give me a Kandy Sports Club flag and take me to matches at Nittawela. Today, I returned the favour by taking him to his first ever international match between the top two teams in the world. A pretty special full circle moment ❤️ 🇳🇿🇿🇦
