Horse and beagle customers:
My ability to frequently communicate is going to be iffy for a while, and I am very sorry if this causes confusion and concern. We have just signed Mom up for hospice care, and we are going to prioritize spending time with her while we are blessed to be able to do so. I'm still here, still caring for the horses and the beagles, but I'm not able to maintain my normal level of communicating and training at this time. Things are going to be delayed. Please feel free to text me if you need quick responses or more information about the puppy or horse you are getting, as I can check my phone more often/efficiently than email.
Thank you!
Toni

This is a hard topic for us to talk about. I know! But beagle fam, it's so important! The topic is about whether our beagles are overweight/obese, and how that affects their health and length of life.
* Did you know that a dog who is not overweight throughout its life lives an average of about TWO YEARS LONGER than dogs that are overweight?
* Lean dogs have much LESS trouble with osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, heart disease, diabetes, and other terrible ailments.
* Puppies that are not allowed to get overweight while young have less health issues later in life.
* Most beagles shouldn't weigh over 30 lbs. To be honest, a large percentage are overweight or obese at 30 lbs.
There are exceptions (tall beagles), but the scale weight is NOT a good way to judge whether a beagle is overweight anyway. We all really need to evaluate our beagles using the Body Condition Score, not the scale. It's easy, too!

Please visit this web page and learn about beagle weight, how it affects health and length of life, tips for healthy beagle weight, photos of overweight and healthy weight beagles, etc. http://crbeagles.com/misc/weight.htm

It's not too late to help your beagle get to a healthy weight if he/she is overweight. Read this web page for tips. Please. For the health of your dog. ❤️🩷🩵💙

It's summer, and that means it's hot! We get our outside play time early in the morning and late in the evening. This is Doll's litter, playing in grass....which they decided "scratches the tummy" and that I should have mowed. They still had a good time trying to navigate the jungle.

I'll try to post more frequently again. Shortly after discovering that someone (or a bot) created a page using our name and photos stolen from all over the Internet, my page got h^cked and I can't log in from my phone (gee, I wonder who did that?). Still working on fixing that phone issue, but I can get in from the laptop so far! It's just less convenient. ;-)

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Thanks to a watchful viewer and repeat customer, we were notified that someone created a fake Facebook profile using our name. In one month, they posted 90 times, including stolen photos from several breeders and an advertisement for a totally-different species but showing dog photos, as well as other breeds.

Again, this is a good reminder about trusting social media. Just don't. 😁 Social media can open a door, but confirm reality by looking at a web site, how long a web site has been in existence, grammar and accuracy, contact information, etc.

It's so sad that people exist with such low morals!

See comments under pictures for more info, and signs indicating that the fake page they made isn't legitimate.

The security team is hard at work this morning. Despite their watchfulness, birds continue to sing and land in the yard. 🤣

Recently, a few inquiries have come from people wanting to know if we have any adult beagles available (we don't). I can't find those messages, so hopefully you see this! I heard that the Animal Rescue League of Iowa received some of these beagles, and about 40 other states also got some. They might be adopted really quickly, so call some major shelters near you right away.

I've been fairly inactive here recently due to a family health issue that has taken a lot of my time. The beagles are my therapy, and I'm so thankful for them! Here are a couple of videos just for fun (these puppies are all taken by people that were on the Waiting List....but we'll have summer/fall puppies coming along).

It was a rainy day, so we were stuck inside in a play pen. Today, we're going out because the SUN is out! :-)

There are two videos, so you'll have to click the links if only one preview shows up with the post. 🎧 Turn your sound down...The puppies that weren't with me to play wanted their turn, so they are crying for attention!
