I recently switched to wearing a black coat. It does a better job of hiding the lessons but the lessons are still there.

This is not just a dirty coat.
This is my story.

Every stain has a memory.
Every burn has a lesson.
Every mark is proof that I worked through the fire.

People see a dirty coat.
Chefs see hard work, pressure, passion, and dedication.

This coat has seen long shifts, failed dishes, late nights, and proud moments.

The dirt is not my shame.
It is my pride.

Tomorrow, I’ll wear it again.
Because I’m still learning.
Still growing.
Still becoming the chef I want to be.
