Kitchen remodel update. I have come So far, but so much more to do. My white oak built-in is 1/2 done. Got to the point where I could extend the counter tops over it. But eventually it will be a piece that goes all the way to the ceiling. I needed the original base cabinets to extend out an extra 5 inches so I built the cutting board slot for it. The counter tops I created myself. and the forest green is officially gone(almost) Originally I was going to do an all white kitchen, but the kids told me there is now a lack of color in the world with everyone going white and grey. So they bullied me into choosing a color base cabinet. I usually stick with blues or teals, but went out of my comfort zone and brought green back in. I need to finish the uppers on the sink side of the kitchen which will be white. Add 2 more lights above the windows, trim out the windows and then replace all the drywall that is missing. Then that 1/2 of the kitchen will be done. There is actually a whole other 1/2 to go which includes a butcher block station, a wall oven, pantry,, laundry and mud room with another sink. But for now I need to get the garden ready for growing season.
