Join us for an evening of locally sourced ingredients, chef-curated mushroom dishes, w**e pairings, and plenty of community! We're excited to be a beneficiary of this special fungi-inspired dining experience, featuring local mushroom experts, wild-foraging insights, and a silent auction supporting our Discovery West Marketplace. 👏

For the first time ever, we will have TWO DAYS of Central Oregon makers under one roof: the people who grow, raise, bake, blend, stitch, and build things worth giving. Friday evening and all day Saturday, two weeks before the holidays.

Local food doesn’t survive on good intentions alone.

It takes: Farmers. Ranchers. Refrigerators. Freezers. Shelves. Staff. Delivery routes. Storage. 🙌Community funding and support. And permanent places where local food can move from the people who produce it to the people who want to buy it.

That’s what we’re building at Discovery West Bend, and we need $100,000 to finish it.💥

Some of the outdoor farmers' markets may be officially closing for the year—but we're not! 💥

Our Locavore Marketplace is an indoor farmers' market open seven days a week, all winter long, from 10 am to 7 pm. If you spent the summer buying local first, and you're wondering where to go now—we’ve got you covered!

One of our farmers put it plainly: "Locavore is hugely important to the success of our business, especially in the fall, winter, and spring. It's really cool to see how excited people are about the produce, especially in the dark months of the year."

That's the gap we fill. If you want local food to exist year-round in Bend, this is the place that keeps it alive and running…and that's the whole reason we're here. ICYMI: You can still get that farmers' market feeling, even when it's freezing outside!

A second Locavore Marketplace is more than a conventional grocery store. It’s a (501c3) non-profit model that gives 65 cents of every dollar directly back to Central Oregon’s farmers, ranchers, and makers. It’s infrastructure that creates more access to local food in Bend’s westside neighborhoods.
Farmers and ranchers need reliable places to sell what they grow and raise. Eaters want reliable places to buy local food. Discovery West creates another permanent connection between the two.

💥We need to raise the final $100,000 before Thanksgiving to finish the build-out and open the doors. The space is ready for construction. We've stocked the produce, protein, and pantry items. Help us finish it!
