What do you know of Grüner Veltliner? It is the primary white grape of Austria. Have you ever had some of this amazing wine? If not, then you need to try it. Other countries are making it as well but you must start with the ones from Austria. It is a delicious white wine that is affordable and often times found in one Liter bottles. You'll know it's from Austria because of the Austrian flag colors on the top of the bottle. Cheers to a great wine from Austria!

Oh sure, you've tried a Riesling from Germany or maybe a Pinot Grigio (Gris) from Italy but have you tried them from Alsace France? If not you're in for a treat. So it's five days into Dry January and you want some options. Well there are a slew of different non-alcoholic wines to choose from. Here is a quick guide to some of the more popular brands out there. Most of these brands have quite the assortment to choose from. So you want options? Well you're in luck my friends. There is pretty much a non-alcoholic version of any wine you can imagine. They range from Sparkling, rose, reds and whites. The brands are Giesen, Leitz, Joyus, Ariel, Oddbird and Hand of Heart. How do they do that? Removing alcohol from wine using the Spinning Cone Column method. Here is a picture guide that demonstrates the process. The Spinning Cone technique is an alcohol removal system using spinning cone-shaped columns. These rotating conical columns are used in a form of low temperature vacuum distillation. So the next time you're enjoying a glass of N/A wine, it might have used this method. Cheers to Dry January!

Here is another popular method for removing alcohol from wine. It's called the Vacuum Distillation Method. Vacuum distillation lowers the boiling point of alcohol by reducing the pressure, allowing it to be evaporated at a lower temperature. This is a much gentler method and helps preserve the wine's aromas and flavors. So if you are shopping for an N/A wine this Dry January this might be a something to look for in the wine you select. To make non-alcoholic wine is not an easy of inexpensive process. There are a few different methods, but in this slide I'm highlighting the Reverse Osmosis method. Reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane separation technique that can be used to remove alcohol, water, and other undesirable components from wine. With New Year's Eve coming up you may want to celebrate 2025 with your favorite bottle of bubbly so be sure to chill it properly. You will want to get it between 43-50 °F (6-10 °C). In order to do that then you will want to know how to correctly fill an ice bucket. Half water and half ice for 20-30 minutes should do the trick. Cheers to You and your new year! 🥂😊
