(469)

Newport Avenue Market is an employee owned company located on the Westside of beautiful Bend, Oregon. We offer an eclectic selection of unique, specialty and hard-to-find groceries as well as every day market essentials. Consider us the “Triple G” for all of your shopping needs: Groceries + Gadgets + Gifts. Family-operated and locally owned since 1976 (becoming Newport Avenue Market in 1992), we p

rovide a distinctive shopping experience for our community. You define who we are and because of that, we champion a healthy diet along with a healthy sense of humor. It’s all about good food. We are leading a food movement in Central Oregon that promotes farm-to-table and healthy, natural, delicious food. In fact, we’re all about keeping it local- think locally raised beef (where each and every cut can be traced back to the ranch where it was raised), veggies grown just down the road using aquaponics, and award-winning artisan cheeses. Our global selection from various ethnicities and niches makes experimenting with food fun. Need Lion’s Mane mushrooms? Or Blood Orange Reserve olive oil? Let your foodie imagination run wild down any of our aisles. Coffee-flavored salt? Sombrerino pasta from Italy in the shape of a Mexican hat? We’ve got you covered. In 2013, Newport Avenue Market was named the first Boar's Head Market of Distinction west of the Mississippi. It’s a rare title… not easily earned… and it means, quite simply, that our deli is the best of the best. It’s because our crew takes food seriously. They get up early, stay late and sometimes steal grandma’s recipes to create the best experience for our customers. Your discerning taste buds will delight in our selection of grab-and-go lunches, gourmet dinner entrees, side dishes and desserts. What about beer? We’ve got a wicked-good selection of beers and ciders not easily found in one spot. Would you expect anything less from Beer Town, USA? Our Great Wall of Beer (all 60' feet of it) is stocked with 500+ brews including local faves, trusty go-to's, domestics, and international brews. I need a Jesus bobble head. Stat. Need a gift that is refreshingly unusual? From Jesus bobble heads to Silipints to Luchadore bottle openers to books about hipster dads, Newport Avenue Market is your one-stop shop for all that is weird in the world. We also carry a wide selection of interesting kitchen gadgets and professional-quality cookware (Le Creuset, anyone?). Play with your food (and not get yelled at by Mom)

Whether you’re a seasoned gourmand or new to the good food scene, there’s room for everyone at the Newport table. Welcome, foodies. You’ve found your sanctuary. Chop. Sauté. Drizzle. Lick your lips. Be grateful. Stay curious. And above all, enjoy the adventure. WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING:

Now we want to hear from you.

If you had one message to make Bend smile, what would it be?

From August 10 through September 10, we're inviting our community to submit ideas for the Newport Avenue Market marquee. Funny, heartfelt, clever, encouraging, punny... if it fits on the sign, we want to read it.

A community is nourished in many ways. Sometimes it happens around a shared table. Sometimes it arrives at an older adult’s front door. And sometimes it begins with a small donation made during an everyday trip to the grocery store. ❤️

In honor of Rudy’s Markets’ 50th anniversary, Newport Avenue Market, Oliver Lemon’s and Ollie’s Kitchen are spending 2026 helping fight hunger across Central Oregon. Throughout the year, customers can donate any amount at checkout, and Rudy’s Markets will match those donations up to $100,000.

Together, we’re supporting Family Kitchen and the Council on Aging of Central Oregon, including its Meals on Wheels program. These organizations do vital work to ensure our neighbors have access to nourishing food, compassionate support and meaningful connection.

Matching funds will help our nonprofit partners purchase food at wholesale cost, allowing each contribution to stretch further and provide even more meals throughout our region.

If you’re able, consider adding a donation during your next visit. Every gift, no matter the size, becomes part of something much bigger: neighbors caring for neighbors and a community making sure everyone has a place at the table.

Thank you for helping us turn 50 years of gratitude into a year of giving back. ❤️

🍸 Elevate your martini, one olive at a time.

A great martini deserves more than just any olive. Blue cheese stuffed? Garlic? Jalapeño? Classic pimento? Something buttery and briny you’ve never tried before? This is where Heather comes in.

Our resident Spirit Guide knows her way around a cocktail, and she’ll help you find the spirits, garnishes, mixers and little finishing touches that turn “I’m making martinis tonight” into “Okay, THIS is a martini.” Newport’s Spirit Guides are here specifically to help with cocktail ideas, recipes and finding what you need to build a better bar at home.

Because when you want to make something delicious, Newport’s the place to go. We’ve got the bottle. We’ve got the olives. And, most importantly, we’ve got Heather. 💜

🫒 So tell us: what olive are YOU putting in your martini? Classic? Stuffed? Spicy? Dirty-martini-level excessive? Tell us in the comments. 👇

It has never been “just a grocery store.”

For 50 years, Newport Market has been part of the rhythm of this community. It is where neighbors run into one another in the aisles, where employees build careers, where local makers find a place on the shelf and where generations of families have chosen the food that will fill their tables.

Because food is never simply something we need. Food is how we care for ourselves and one another. It is how we welcome people into our homes, celebrate milestones, comfort someone who is hurting and preserve the recipes and traditions that remind us where we come from.

Grocery shopping isn’t merely another chore. Choosing what nourishes us is an act of care. And choosing where we shop matters, too. Every local purchase helps shape the community we live in, supporting the people, producers and businesses that make Central Oregon feel like home.

Dinner doesn’t need to be impressive. It just needs to bring us together. ❤️

Meanwhile, in the Newport Market offices…

Our highly trained team has been conducting some very serious cookie-and-gelato research. Things got messy. For science, obviously. 🍪🍨

Now we need your expert opinion: Who wore it better?

Who knew cotton candy could be THIS good?! ☁️🍓

This isn’t exactly the cotton candy you remember from the county fair. Cirrus 9 Candy takes that wonderfully nostalgic treat and gives it a seriously delicious upgrade.

Their small-batch organic cotton candy is hand-spun in New York’s Hudson Valley using high-quality raw cane sugar and real ingredients, including freeze-dried fruit and Hudson Valley maple syrup. No corn syrup. No artificial flavors. No artificial dyes. Just fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness with flavors that taste like the things they’re actually named after. Imagine that. 😉

And the flavors! Double Strawberry features organic ground dried strawberries, New York Maple is made with real maple sugar, and their lineup ventures into deliciously unexpected territory with flavors like Madagascar Vanilla, Wild Raspberry and Lychee & Tulare Cherry.

We found the grown-up version of cotton candy, friends. Although we fully support eating it with the enthusiasm of a six-year-old. 💜

Find Cirrus 9 at Newport and tell us: which flavor are you grabbing first?

Newport Avenue Market has everything you need, plenty of things you did not know you needed and at least one thing you will insist on showing everyone when you get home.

Come wander the aisles and see what finds you!

Are you feeling Bloom or Blush? 🫐🍎

This week, Robert and the Brew Crew are featuring two sparkling ciders from Finnriver Farm & Cidery in Washington’s Chimacum Valley.

🫐 Bloom blends organic Washington apples with blueberries for a colorful, fruit-forward cider with a semi-dry finish.

💕 Blush pairs organic Washington apples with black currants for a crisp, dry cider with bright berry flavor.

Try one or bring home both for a side-by-side tasting! These are available from Tuesday, August 25 through Monday, August 31, while supplies last.

Here’s how Beer of the Week works: Scan your registered FoodeFlash Card whenever you purchase the featured beers or ciders. Once you spend a total of $50 on Beer of the Week selections, you’ll earn $10 in Newport Moolah to use like cash on a future Newport Avenue Market purchase.

Don’t have a FoodeFlash Card yet? Ask an employee-owner or stop by Customer Service, and we’ll help you get started.

Which one are you trying first: Bloom or Blush?

Must be 21+. Please enjoy responsibly.

Summer has many wonderful qualities, but let’s be honest: ice cream is near the top of the list. ☀️🍨

It’s cold, creamy, delightfully indulgent and exactly what a sunny Central Oregon afternoon calls for. The only difficult part is deciding which pint gets to come home with you.

Which one are you picking up this week?

🍯 Alec's Ice Cream Peanut Butter Fudge Honeycomb
🥥 Cosmic Bliss Infinite Coconut Plant-Based Frozen Dessert
🥜 Lopez Island Creamery Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk
☕ Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams HouseCoffee Ice Cream
🥃 Bontà - Natural Artisan Gelato Vanilla Bourbon Pecan Gelato
🍓Oatly Strawberry Ice Cream

Are you reaching for rich and chocolatey, smooth and coffee-flavored, bright and fruity or deliciously dairy-free? Tell us your pick in the comments, or build yourself a little tasting flight. Summer is short. Choosing only one pint is not required. 🍦☀️
