Stoked to be part of the Oregon Agricultural Trustโ€™s โ€˜Cheers to the Landโ€™ collaboration this year that raises awareness and funds for protecting farm and ranch land across Oregon.

You all know we put a little bit of Oregon terroir in EVERY single one of our beers. From our lagers and IPAโ€™s to our 100% Oregon ingredient Saisons, thereโ€™s either barley, wheat, yeast, hops or fruit grown right here in Oregon, in every glass; OAT is helping make sure we can continue to do just that ๐Ÿ–ค

We decided to highlight a couple of our favorite Oregon grown ingredients in this Wild Saison, starting with Marionberries. We get quite a few berries here in Oregon but each time we use Marionberry we are blown away by its jammy, deep purple fruit roll up vibes that always shine through in the beer.

Next is FRESH Wasabi root grown right along the coast by . We were pretty excited to find out that it was even possible to grow Wasabi here in Oregon, and even more stoked to learn that fresh Wasabi tastes absolutely amazing, and in our opinion far succeeds anything cut with horseradish, as most of us have only experienced it. Highly recommend!

Poco Loco 2: Electric Boogaloo, has over a 100+ lbs of fresh Honeyglow Pineapples & Habanero peppers added to a single barrel of our Wild Saison. Naturally keg conditioned with our house cultures.

Our first ever fresh hop Saison, Glee of 1000 Otters, took Bronze last week at the early harvest Fresh Hop competition.

For a Saison made with 100% Oregon grown ingredients and fermented with our very own Central Oregon isolated yeast strain, this is huge for our little brewery and our stubbornly passionate ethos of crafting truly regional beer.

Glee was brewed simply with 2-row barley grown by , fresh Strata grown by and fermented warm with our house Saison strain that was isolated from our wild mixed culture. We absolutely love how this beer turned out.

Still on tap this weekend with just a handful of 4-packs left. Plus weโ€™ve got a couple rad new Wild Saisons available as well ๐Ÿ–ค

A couple weeks back, bright and early, we drove the beautiful pass to & to snag some freshly harvested Lorien & Strata hops from .

We pulled a small amount of the Strata for a cold-side dry hop in our already released โ€˜Glee of 1000 Ottersโ€™ (one of our favorite beers on right now) and used the rest as a hot-side addition in this lower ABV, more traditional Saison.

Brewed with malted barley grown by and fermented with our native yeast strain, this Saison was conjured with 100% Oregon grown ingredients. Hail yeah!

Remember Quite Tides? Well after racking off the Marionberries and Spuce tips we foraged from Hobbit Beach, the left over fruit was still vibrant with notes of fresh baked pie on Christmas. So we decided to rack a couple more oak barrels over the spent fruit along with over 100lbs of fresh picked Apricots from the Gorge.

Super honored to have been part of this rad article on Mixed Culture Saison by .alworth of Magazine.

Jeff does an amazing job at articulating Saison, its vastly complex history and illustrating what brewers like ourselves are recreating and paying homage to in our own strange way.

I got the chance to talk about what Saison means to us, our interpretation of the style, and share our base Saison recipe, along with how you can propagate and brew with our culture at home. Iโ€™ve been reading Craft Beer & Brewing since a home brewer so having this published is very special ๐Ÿ–ค

Coincidentally, this is also their Lager issue where they blind taste, rate and review lagers from around the world. They featured and gave our Oregon Light Lager, Leichtanthrope, a whopping 92/100 alongside some of the best lager brewers out there. We couldnโ€™t be more stoked to have this collab with help spread the word about our love for making terroir focused beers outside of Saison. Let it be known :)

Weโ€™ve only got a couple kegs/cans left of Leichtanthrope in the taproom and with the sale of once itโ€™s gone, itโ€™s gone forever.

A couple months back, we conjured a collab with that incorporated each our house wild Saccharomyces strains, creating a little Table Saison with 100% Oregon grown ingredients we dubbed โ€˜Seeking Counselโ€™.

Originally, we thought about adding 10lbs of White Fir that had gone and harvested, but instead decided to create a second offering, blending this young, stainless fermented Saison with equal portions our Foeder fermented Wild Saison. The blend was then refermented on 100lbs of fresh Robada Apricots and conditioned on said White Fir tips.

Most of you know we donโ€™t typically release bottles outside our Funky Fellowship club, so this beer is pretty special and will only be available in the taproom starting THIS Saturday during our Summer Haunts Makers Market.

Only 8 cases packaged, so weโ€™ll have a limit of 2 bottles PP. Draft pours will also be available.

A few months back we grabbed the dogs, loaded up the van and voyaged just south of Yachats, OR to a lovely little spot along Hobbit Beach for a night of camping and Sitka Spuce foraging. Our bounty was met with over 100lbs of Oregon grown Marionberries and a blend of two our oak fermented Wild Saisons.

As always, these releases are bottled for the Funky Fellowship only but will be available on draft in the taproom for all to enjoy starting today.

Great timing though as Iโ€™m very aware we were down to our last keg of Wild Saison last nightโ€ฆRest assured, weโ€™ve already gone through nearly 1000 lbs of fresh PNW fruit and have been busy packaging Saison all week with plenty of new releases to follow ;)
