Holy cow! errrr...... Bull!

Ash gave birth to her first baby today! This is Jethro! His sire is Socks.

He's the first baby to carry genes from our first four breeding cattle; Akari, Gussie, Bullet, and Revere!

Thunder Rose is pleased to announce the birth of her baby!

I think it's a girl. I'll name her Penny for being so rare.

If it's a male, I'll name him Penn.

With mama being so old she's certainly not going to be producing many more (babies).

The sun had been climbing all morning over the Bennett sky, warming the dirt, the straw, and every creature who called Tuff's Ranch home. But one little piglet had already decided the day was too hot for nonsense. She waddled over to her favorite blue tub—her personal oasis—and climbed in with the confidence of someone who knew exactly how to live well.

The water hugged her belly, cool and perfect. She draped one hoof over the rim like a queen surveying her kingdom. From her throne, she watched the breeze ripple through the clover, listened to distant sheep muttering about nothing in particular, and felt the quiet rhythm of ranch life settle around her.

For a moment, she closed her eyes. Not asleep—just savoring. Because this was her ritual: a midday soak, a pause from pig duties, a reminder that joy doesn’t have to be complicated.

When she opened her eyes again, she spotted me watching. She didn’t move. She didn’t squeal. She simply blinked slowly, as if to say, See? This is how you do summer.

And honestly… she wasn’t wrong.
